The Klystor app
Analysis and cleanup happen entirely on your computer. No file, file name or scan result is sent, except in these two cases:
- Update checks: at most once a day, Klystor reads
klystor.app/updates/latest.json. This request contains no personal data; you can turn off automatic checks in the settings. - AI assistant (optional): if you turn it on and provide your key, the names and paths of the items you ask it to explain are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to produce the answer, with your explicit consent in the app.
The klystor.app website
- No cookies, no third-party advertising or analytics tools.
- Download statistics: for each download, we record the date, the file, its version, the system and the country, estimated from the IP address with a database we host ourselves (DB-IP). The IP address is not stored; a fingerprint valid for one day avoids counting the same download twice, then it is erased. Only totals are shown publicly.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message are sent to us by email so we can reply; they are not stored on the website. A fingerprint of your IP address is kept for at most 24 hours to limit abuse.
- Beta program: if you sign up, we keep your email address, the system you chose, your language and the sign-up and confirmation dates, only to tell you about new versions. Signing up only takes effect after you confirm with the link we email you; every email has an unsubscribe link, which deletes your address.
- Reviews: the name or nickname, rating, system and text you enter are published after moderation; no email address is requested. A refused review is deleted. To have your review removed, write to us. A fingerprint of your IP address is kept for at most 24 hours to limit abuse.
- Hosting: the website is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers may keep technical logs (IP address, page requested) for security and to keep the service running.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and object to its processing, by writing to contact@klystor.app. You can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or your local authority.
